Sarah Holloway, Artist.
“The workshop really resonated with me not only in terms of the aesthetic and symbolic qualities of the Journey Sticks we made but also because the connecting with a sense of place and home is something very poignant in my life, especially at the moment. I also enjoyed the solidarity of being with a group of people in this way.”
Catherine Cridland, Garden Designer
“A deeply gentle way to connect with the landscape and to those who may have walked before you. Gather, think, breathe, walk, reflect, create, share in a way that anyone can engage with regardless of artistic or literary skills. Tara welcomes, engages and gently guides your own personal journey through the day and the landscape”
Paulina Wojciechowska, Natural building architect
“In her guided nature workshops Tara brings a gentle focus and sense of purpose to deepen the positive effects of experiences in nature. After a one day journey stick retreat I felt revitalised and more at peace, reconnected to my heart and grounded.”

Angela, Nature Writing Masterclass students (Creative Future)
Thank you so much for this workshop, it was a brilliant experience, and so very much what I need for my learning and development as a writer. It was lovely to have a piece of writing appreciated like that, helping me to feel good about my writing. I found your comments in the actual document very helpful, both specific praise and the suggestions for editing. I feel very positive about this, the piece as well as this process of feedback and editing, and am very grateful for your sensitive and clear tutoring.

Learner Feedback at Brighton & Hove Educatio Hub (Creative Writing course).
Tara was a fantastic teacher who crammed an enormous amount into a total of 12 hours
teaching time. Her lessons were well paced , with lots of opportunity for feedback, and
discussion, and clear outlines and learning goals for each session. Her materials were helpful
and clear, and her requests of us outside of class for reading or writing were well directed, and
reasonable. We were a diverse group, who started a little slowly, and then became very lively.
Tara created a welcoming and safe atmosphere for all learners, skillfully differentiating between
different needs. She sensitively handled some challenging and controversial comments at times,
and kept everyone happy and on track. Her feedback on our writing showed a good balance of
support and challenge, and helpful suggestions for improvement. In the end the group all
produced some powerful pieces of writing, as a result of Tara's good teaching. She made it a
really enjoyable experience for all of us. Thank you Tara- I look forward to the follow up next
year.
